Is it necessary to present the COVID-19 certificate to take my medical exam?
Vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory for all people who are in their immigration process to the US. It is important to present your proof and/or certificate of COVID-19 vaccination since the doctor will assess whether it is necessary to apply the updated vaccine. We have the updated and authorized COVID-19 vaccine. (Period 2023 - 2024).
How can I schedule a consular medical exam?
You can schedule your appointment very easily on this website by clicking on 'Make My Appointment'. You can also call 888 4560 038 from Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, where we will be happy to assist you. It is important to know that you will always be welcome at SMF, with or without an appointment.
What is the cost of the medical exam?
The costs change depending on age, for adults (over 15 years) it has a cost of 374.68 dollars, for minors (from 2 to 14 years) 267.96 dollars and for children (from 0 to 1 year 11 months) 203.00 Dollars. Cost of necessary clinical examinations, including taxes. The cost in pesos changes day by day according to the exchange rate published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación (DOF) and you can consult it in the "Medical Exam" section. The cost of the vaccine(s) is independent of the cost of your medical exam.
What time can I go to take the medical exam for the resident visa?
Our schedule is Monday through Friday from 6 am to 11 am; even without a scheduled appointment, you will be attended, you only have to show up at the mentioned schedule.
What vaccines are requested by the US Consulate?
The vaccination schedule required for the consular medical exam is the same as in the United States, as requested by the Consulate. You can consult the vaccines needed by age and their cost in the "Vaccines" section of this website.
Is SMF close to the Consulate?

Is it necessary to fast before the exam? Can I eat breakfast the morning of the exam?
Yes, adults can have a light breakfast before the medical exam, such as juice, yogurt, or fruit. Minors can have breakfast with juice, yogurt, cereal, toast, and fruit. (Always remembering small quantities, for example: just one slice of toast).
I am currently taking medication. Is it necessary to stop taking it for the exam?
No, do not stop taking it. Continue taking the medication you are currently taking. It will be important to bring the prescription or the medication for the treatment.
