On March 8 of this year, Medical Services of the Border made the donation of a laminar flow hood to the Physiology Laboratory of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of ICB, for the academic preparation of its students and teachers.

With this, Servicios Médicos de la Frontera reaffirms its commitment to science and society of our state, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

FIELD DAY SMF 2018 August 25 2018

As every year all the staff of Medical Services of the Border coexisted like a great family in a day full of fun. For SMF, your team is very important and, through this type of events, look for integration and improve communication, as well as erase hierarchies for a while.

A fun day with pool, food, dance, comedy show, awards and coexistence makes the whole team wait one more edition of this pleasant event in 2019.

1st Diploma in Tuberculosis organized by SMF. August 2017

On August 12, 2017, the First Diploma in Tuberculosis organized by Medical Services of the Border (SMF), through its Center for Diagnosis and Comprehensive Treatment of Tuberculosis (CDTITB), whose academic endorsement will be granted by the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ).

Tuberculosis is a disease that has infected more than 2 billion people in the world. Worldwide, every second a person is infected; every 3 seconds another one becomes ill and every 18 seconds, one more person dies because of this disease. In Mexico, 58 new cases are presented each day due to this disease and 6 more die from this cause.

Many people in our country believe that Tuberculosis has already been eradicated; and despite great efforts by health personnel, this pathology continues to be a serious health problem throughout the world.

The Diploma will last 4 months, and will be taught by local and state teachers with vast experience in the subject. Likewise, there will be 30 professionals from the health area who will receive this training. The group of students is made up of teachers and students from the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez; by health workers of the State Government and members of the Binational Together Program; and by members of the medical team of Medical Services of the Border.

During the beginning of the Diploma, the Medical Services of La Frontera executives were present, and they were Lic. Carlos Todd Romero and Dr. Aníbal Acosta Loya, who welcomed and inaugurated the event, urging the participants to continue working in pro of the eradication of this lacerating disease. Dr. Isaías Orozco Andrade, Coordinator and Academic Holder of the Diploma, thanked the authorities for their unconditional support for this noble cause, and for the students, their enthusiasm for Continuing Medical Education.

It should be noted that all students received a full scholarship, which includes the total cost of registration and support materials throughout the development of the Diploma, whose financial resource was subsidized 100% by Medical Services of the Frontier.

This Diploma, is part of the actions that Medical Services of the Border, as a Socially Responsible Company, carries out permanently, in favor of a community free of Tuberculosis, reiterating its commitment, for the common good of our society.

To Clean the World! October 2017

SMF staff, employees of the General Consulate of the United States in Ciudad Juarez, as well as employees of neighboring businesses, joined last Saturday, October 28, to clean the surroundings of the Consulate as part of the "Clean Up the World" campaign that promotes the civil organization "Juárez Limpio".

Clean Up the World seeks to inspire communities to clean, repair and conserve their environment for the benefit of all. For SMF this type of actions is very important ... thank you very much to all!
